People who were abused by priests in California are able to get help through the California Assembly which recently passed a bill extending the timeframe that survivors can file civil claims.

The bill was passed in 2019 and opened up a three-year window for survivors of Catholic priest abuse to file civil lawsuits against the priests and the specific Catholic Diocese that employed them.

Childhood sexual abuse causes life-long trauma for the survivors. But because the abuse occurred when the survivors were young, in many instances the statute of limitations has run, preventing the filing of civil lawsuits.

But this new bill gives the survivors another chance to bring justice to the abusers. For the priest abusers and their enablers in the Catholic Church hierarchy, their time is up.

Boucher LLP has been helping clergy abuse survivors bring their abusers to justice in California and across the nation. We are providing this list of priests accused of abuse in California, along with the specific dioceses in which those priests worked.

Our clergy sexual abuse legal teams will use our knowledge, skills, and resources to track down and hold these abusers responsible for their actions. Survivors can use this list of priests accused of abuse by dioceses in California to find a specific abuser.
